KINGDOM HOUSE FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM
Geraldine Stewart, MSW, Director
The Family Support Program serves low-income clients living primarily in the Near Southside of the City of St. Louis in zip codes 63104 and 63118. Services include: brief counseling, case management, trips to the food pantry and thrift store, referrals to other services we do not provide, participation in our Annual Neighborhood Christmas Shop, and the United Way’s "100 Neediest Cases” Program. Family Support Services helps clients achieve a better life and break the cycle of poverty by helping them identify their resources, needs, and problems. We locate the barriers to getting needs fulfilled and problems overcome. We encourage them to find solutions and then take action on those solutions.
The Director provides direct social work services to low-income persons in the community. She also supervises graduate and undergraduate practicum students in Social Work from various colleges in the area.
