THOMAS T. SANDERS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Thomas T. Sanders, is an Elder of the United Methodist Church. Married to the Reverend Barbara J. Phifer, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in High Ridge, MO, Tom & Barbara have 5 adult children (two sons-in-law) and one grandchild.

Raised in the Bootheel of Missouri, in Hayti, MO., Tom was baptized and confirmed at First United Methodist Church of Hayti. He Graduated cum laude from Southeast Missouri State University, Bachelor of Arts; Master of Divinity, Eden Theological Seminary; and Juris Doctor, Saint Louis Unversity School of Law, cum laude, certificate in health law studies.

As an Ordained Elder in the Former Missouri East Conference, Tom served pastorates in Jonesburg Circuit, University United Methodist (associate), Defiance Circuit, Fenton, Pleasant Hill Memorial (Defiance), and La Monte.

Rev. Sanders served over 11 years as Chaplain and member of administrative team at former Epworth Children's Home, now Epworth Children and Family Services. He helped with formation of the Suzanna Wesley Family Learning Center in the Bootheel area.

Tom Sanders is a licensed attorney in Missouri, and has practiced with concentrations in Elder Law, non-profit corporations, and law related to religious organizations.

Tom was married to Barbara Erisman Sanders, who died in 1983.
